As an active member and a twenty year veteran of the Twelve Step Program, I am not a stranger to how the disease of addiction can tear a family apart. Learning how to detach (with love) and set boundaries have given me the strength to overcome the many disappointments, expectations and deepest lows that life with an addict have thrown my way. And today, because of the path I chose to walk with my husband of 27 years, we live an addiction-free life with our two beautiful sons.My husband and I started helping recovering addicts and alcoholics (either right out of 30 day treatments centers), by opening one recovery home at a time in Maryland. We not only gave them a roof over their heads, but gave them a real chance at recovery. We started a program which basically was an extension of treatment (therapy, structure, safe environment, living with recovering people, etc).My 15 years of professional skills as partner, business owner and 6 years being the Women’s Program Director of a successful Maryland based treatment program with 7 group homes, have given me the foundation to open a sober and healthy living environment for women in recovery and those still struggling. The many years of personal growth and experience in the field is what inspired the start and opening of “Sisters Of Amazing Recoveries” (aka SOAR). It’s what fuels my passion and mission for the success of, not only the company, but women in recovery.I believe and stand by the program’s philosophy: “In order to keep it you must give it away”. I pay it forward daily, giving back to the community what was given to me many years ago….HOPE!

I have lead a Spiritual Women / Men's Retreat in Maryland and lead and facilitate a Women's Recovery Retreat/ Workshop every year in Tahoe with emphasis on drug/alcohol recovery spirituality and team building..
