For almost two decades, Colin Guthrie has lived and breathed high performance environments. His straight-forward approach as an executive coach and corporate educator has been honed through uniquely diverse experiences as a professional athlete, sport psychology consultant and trusted advisor to senior business teams and C-suite leaders of global companies in both Canada and the US.Based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Colin is the founding partner of MPCG Inc., an international consulting practice catering specifically to individuals, teams and organizations that are recognized as either emerging or established leaders within their industries. Colin adds value to these clients by helping to raise their awareness of how experts (and expert teams) develop, think, and continually improve their ability to perform in today's pressure filled business environment. Colin then applies these insights to design and execute individualized, behaviourally based performance plans that are goal oriented. Colin has experience leading diverse teams of professionals. From 2005-2012 Colin provided leadership to an interdisciplinary group of sports science and medicine professionals for Canada's Own the Podium organization. Colin also acted as a sport psychology consultant to Olympic sailors and coaches at three Olympic games (Athens, Beijing and London). More recently, Colin has been working with senior leadership teams with a number of significant corporations including a intensive two-year assignment within the legal department of an oil field services Fortune 200 company, the largest frozen seafood retailer in North America, and one of the Big Four accounting firms.Colin holds dual citizenship with the US and Canada, earned his Undergraduate and Masters degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and his PhD and Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies from Temple University.
