Effective communication with students, faculty, and appropriate campus and Libraries’ administrators regarding library practices and policies is a chief role of the Director. In addition, the Director is expected to participate in activities related to library and campus governance, library-wide efforts to develop systems and services, and devote time to research, scholarly activity, and service to the University, the society, and the profession.

Work with GGU Enterprise Technology Services staff to plan, test and maintain interfaces between library systems and other University systems (e.g., IFAS, Colleague, LDAP) and University networks. Serve as a liaison to other library technology vendors as necessary. Manage system hardware, including researching user needs and problems, and working with GGU's Enterprise Technology Services department to maintain hardware. Supervise computer lab technicians, oversee purchasing of lab equipment, set lab policies, monitor wireless and other network access in both libraries, and coordinate work with ETS as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
