Founded and managed by the Physics department of the University of Montréal, Parité Science aims to increase female enrollment in physics, mathematics and computer science programs by providing training and tools to secondary and college education workers. As Operations Director, I provide leadership for management, financial and strategic planning while working closely with projet co-founders and team members.

Designed, updated and produced training materials such as storyboards, online video capsules and memory-aids addressed to more than 5,000 employees, working in collaboration with several subject-matter experts (SME) of a financial institution. Analyzed the level of accessibility and relevance of approximately 100 documents available on the project's microsite, including performance support tools and reference materials. Simplified and harmonized the content of templates, procedures and guides according to the organization's documentation standards and document management best practices.

Developed and implemented practical solutions to quickly adapt information services and training sessions to virtual delivery models during the pandemic period while working with a cross-functional team. As a team member of a non-hierarchical leadership structure, led several initiatives aiming to improve the organizational capacity. Firstly, assessed key processes accros the organisation to overcome operational challenges associated with staff shortage and documentation management; secondly, improved administrative procedures by analyzing current practices, designing and implementing new tools for an effective transfert of knowledge.

Ensured proper and timely operation of the Business School's programs in Management, Accounting, Insurance and related fields : Diplomas (DEC) and Certifications (AEC) of College Studies. Initiated the documentation and analyse process of the procedures and workload of the key team members that led to a major and successful reorganization of the International School of Business and Technologies.Coordinated all aspects of the delivery process of more than 150 courses per session offered in both English and French to approximately 900 international and local studentsProvided leadership to a team of over 70 instructors in order to ensure that learning objectives, instructional approaches and assessment tools meet the college academic quality and standards.

Leading a team spread out in four cities, I was responsible for implementing a college-level accelerated program to expedite the transition of French speaking internationally educated professionals into the Canadian labour market. My contribution to this project was recognized with the Collège Boréal’s Award of Excellence.I planned and implemented the pilot phase of the project including budgeting, overseeing finances, establishing procedures, hiring and supervising teaching and administrative staff, and coordinating a third party evaluation process. In addition, I worked with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful implementation of videoconferencing technology and long-distance tools into the program delivery.

Managed the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada Program*—LINC (English) and CLIC (French) and oversaw all internal and external activities related to newcomer information, referral and settlement services in the Toronto campus. Managed the project budget and accomplished the successful completion of the annual work plan while incorporating new methods of collection of data and follow-up procedures; Wrote a successful proposal ensuring funding for the continuity of the program and started the negotiations for a new service delivery point. In addition, led the project design and the grant writing process, obtaining three-year funding for an innovative Bridging Program, which became my new position. (*) This government-funded program helps immigrants learn Canada’s official languages emphasizing Canada’s values and culture.

Implemented the French-language component of the project in close collaboration with COSTI Immigrant Services, the lead agency, by actively participating in the design of three tools, a guide and a Website as self-directed tools, as well as traditional face-to-face workshops. Adapted Workshops content to the particular needs of French-language newcomers as minority group in Ontario and also, coordinated the project's pilot phase by approaching several Francophones agencies located across Ontario, closely supporting them during the process and organizing external evaluation activities.Trained the French-speaking workshop facilitators across the province. This mandate was carried on for several years even after having held this position as the projet was province-wide implemented. (*) Orientation to Ontario – L’Ontario, c’est chez moi, a bilingual government- funded initiative, aims to provide newcomers, before or upon their arrival, with a set of resources to guide them through the steps of their settlement process.

Designed and executed the semester work plan to make this program focused on English communication skills in the Canadian workplace available for Immigrants with a Health Sciences professional background. Supervised and worked closely with instructors to achieve the courses learning objectives stablished in the curriculum provided by the funder, Colleges Ontario as well as College Boréal’s quality standards. In addition, successfully managed the budget and achieved the program targets as planned.

As a Marketing Consultant for a Development Fund funded by the City of Montreal, advised and assisted small size social economy enterprises in the definition and implementation of marketing strategies of a wide variety of fields. Worked closely with Board of directors and management in the designing of structured Marketing Plans aiming for medium and long term sustainability;As a free-lance worker, created the advertising material for other organizations supported by the same Development Fund. Enrolled in an Advanced Diploma program in Social Services Administration in the University of Montréal I obtained a job position as a Research Assistant in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. This experience led me to a deep understanding of the notion of immigration social issues and government funded services. Assisted a Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Professor in compiling data about the impact of money-transfer operations made by immigrants to their country of origin; Identified techniques for the collection of data and ensuring the validity and reliability of the information.

After holding different positions of increasing responsibility, I become responsible for the Communication department, which mission was to support the organization long-term goals of sustainable growth by reinforcing its image and enhancing customer service practices.Lead the Continuous Quality Improvement project which included the documentation of processes and procedures related to the customer service practices by implementing a new database, a phone hotline system. Coordinated the process of revitalizing the corporate image that included a brand new logo, the first organization’s Web site, its first jingle, and a complete set of marketing collateral materials as brochures, posters, newsletter and business cards.
