Helping bring to life the brand new, state-of-the-art additive manufacturing hub - the UTS: ProtoSpace, to be featuring one of the most diverse and widely capable collections of 3D printing technologies in Australia. This workspace will have capabilities from full and multi-colour plastics and rubbers, composite material printing, metal sintering and rapid prototyping, plastic and ceramic powders as well as PCB and electronic component production.

Starting as a workshop assistant to help train undergraduate students in the safe and correct operation of machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, CNC machines and hand tools, this work evolved to me tutoring two first-year subjects, Introduction to Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Through these positions, I was required to teach content including computer-aided design (CAD), basic and advanced manufacturing techniques and processes, metrology and fundamental mechanical design practices.

Working as a research and business analyst for a private taxation consultancy operation, this position has exposed me to a wide variety of tax issues, both domestic and international, under the tutelage of an ex-big four senior taxation partner. The small size of the organisation has allowed me to further my understanding of not just tax practices, but the broader implications they have on the operations and success of large businesses

Part of the UTS Formula SAE Team, UTS Motorsports Electric, I undertook a variety of roles, both technical (chassis engineer, senior powertrain engineer, machinist) and non-technical (project manager/team leader, marketing, finance, budgeting, shareholder relations) which allowed me to not only develop many individual skills and assets but also build a fundamental understanding of how these many elements fit together in one organisation. My time at UTS Motorsports saw us produce our first ever electric race car in 2015, to placing 4th in the electric vehicle class in 2016 and 2nd in Australia in 2017, including winning the efficiency trophies in 2016-2017 as well as numerous other runner-up positions in 2017.
