ZIOPHARM Oncology (ZIOP) is a public startup biopharmaceutical that is currently running multiple trials with several compounds. First IT staff hired at ZIOPHARM with the charge of developing the existing IT infrastructure. Responsible for achieving auditor signoff on Sarbanes Oxley compliance in a little more than a year by developing controls policies and procedures based on COBIT standards. Carefully assembled three person team to meet all of the IT needs of the company. IT staff members worked very closely and cross trained to achieve better management of the systems, and foster professional development. Was able to successfully expand the company physical locations, and relocate other offices with minimal downtime, and no residual issues. Response time for help desk issues average two hours, with final resolution typically within the same business day. Our team achieved 24x7 emergency response coverage and maintained 99.9% system up-time for all infrastructure equipment.

Acceleron Pharma is a private pharmaceutical company engaged in multiple trials with seven compounds, all focused on the GDF Family of Proteins. Hired as a contractor at Acceleron to redesign the existing infrastructure for increased efficiency and security which encompassed multiple network, server, helpdesk, and validation projects (21 CFR Part 11 and 201 CMR 17).

Responsible for building and maintaining entire infrastructure including, but not limited to, UNIX/WIN2k servers WIN2k/XP Workstations, VPN, DNS, Exchange, MySQL, VMWare, Networking and Security.
