Work involved rebuilding the calculator to be responsive (including extensive mobile-specific UI work), reskinning to an updated UI, adding new keys to the keyboard layout, collaborating with the API team to add DEG/RAD toggling functionality, and enhancing existing Instant Answer functionality. • Led the creation of Game Central on Math Solver, collaborating with the Microsoft Start team and a game developer to integrate educational games on our website. I built a new page layout, mapped Microsoft Start’s supported languages to our own, updated server settings to allow iframing in the game, and attached telemetry to game start and game end events via custom postMessages.• Ensured privacy compliance by implementing a cookie banner, building custom logic to localize the text into each of our supported languages• Improved our Bing calculator integration by implementing dark mode and making our Instant Answers more visible and copy/pastable• Onboarded to a full-stack DRI rotation, leveraging tools like Grafana and Azure Data Explorer (KQL) to investigate and address incidents• Performed 50+ code reviews, led onboarding with two new team members, jumpstarted a thin existing wiki by writing 16 pages of ground-up documentation
