I have about 12 years work experience, started my career as a technician at Vikela Technologies, Electronic department supervisor at Alien Systems and Technologies, Senior Technician at Honeywell and my ambitions drove me to be Senior Technician in Sasol Analyser Department. In addition, I conduct part time lectures for Electronics and Digital Systems at Vaal University of Technology. I hold a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Electrical Engineering with a various skill in different technological sphere of Electronics, IT and process Analyses. My skills are more based in commercial buildings, Mining, Power generation and Petrochemical plants. Skills I have acquired are as follows; - I gained knowledge in maintenance, fault finding down to component level, repair, test and installation of electronic devices. - I gained Knowledge in Analyzer Instruments for online Process Analyzers and a lot of other electrochemical Gas detection principles i.e. GC, Raman, RTD and IRs, PH, Conductity, FTIR.- I have Exposure in Instrumentation and Control with in a chemical process Plant.- I have also gained experience in Instrument Communication with Modbus, FieldBus, Profibus, and HART protocol.- Networking with standard STP Cable, TCP/IP, Fiber optic cables, Wireless LAN are one of the means of communication medium I gained Experience in working with them.- My work exposure encored me with Project Management and Project Execution where I have been involved in Analyzer Road Map Capital Project and Instrumentation TurnKey Project- PLC setup and programming (ladder logic, Isagraph, Block Diagram and easyforth programming language)- Manufacturing of analog and digital electronic devices.- Running Production line from raw material to finish product using SMT.- Supervision of Production line while maintaining ISO9001.2008 quality standards.- Design , Installation and commissioning of access control systems according to SANS standards (Jonson control, Impro & Honeywell EBI ) in Industrial and building environment.- Design , Installation and commissioning of fire detection systems NFS/SANS standards.- Understanding HAZOP, LOPA and MOC principles.- Understanding of SCADA system (EBI and Experion EPK) configuration with Temaline, BACnet, Lonwork, Modbus,C-BUS, Profi-bus, FNA and BNA.- Microsoft server 2003-2008 and SQL 2005 server installation and administration,- Understanding of Cisco Ethernet networking and routing,- I have an exposure of working at petrochemical and Power generation industry-adhere to safety rules and work procedures.
