Ten-year engineering career in the development, evaluation, and application integration of fiber-reinforced composite materials for use in aerospace, energy, automotive and industrial applications, with an expertise in thermoplastic unidirectional material and new product developments run in a highly-focused, project-management style.Technical knowledge of materials, hands-on process development (laboratory and production scale), and direct / on-site application support with customers. Works in a multi-phase, cradle-to-grave R&D project approach; identify new opportunities and translate them to a material designs, drive new process capabilities, source and procure materials, oversee and assist with production, coordinate logistics and and provide technical support on all outgoing materials.Majority of work done in a small-team / solo-effort environment; developing and documenting new processes (from ERP system integration, internal workflow improvement initiatives, and capability expansion), being the technical liaison for suppliers and customers (internal and external), and driving internal improvement.
