(1) I help my clients to achieve better performance in their daily operations in a multitude of areas: more output, higher revenue, less cost, better quality, productivity or reliability. I solve existing problems while at the same time preventing new ones to emerge. (2) While working on this, one all too often runs into problems on the interface between the people - who try to do their work - and the systems - that are supposed to support them with that – contentwise, with knowledge, or administrative, for registration, planning or control purposes. Good systems enhance productivity, improve performance, are a pleasure to work with and enable people to do their work in the best possible way. Furthermore, they are “robust” i.e. effective over longer periods of time. I help my clients to choose, to design and to deploy the best systems that concur with the needs of their people. Please note: the word “systems” is meant in a broad sense: not only information systems, but the whole set of guiding (management) concepts, rules and procedures that steer people when doing their daily work. (3) So, I am not only apt at choosing and designing systems, I also know about implementation – about getting new ideas and concepts to work for you. I am an experienced manager of innovation and change, from developing the vision to making it work. I connect people with ideas and with eachother. My experience encompasses a broad range of innovation-, process-, and performance improvement projects. I have special expertise on methods to successfully design and implement information systems.
