In January 2015 Mike decided to take his technology background and apply it to the CNC Machining & Manufacturing Technology program at Lincoln Technical Institute in Mahwah, NJ, where he graduated in November 2015. In June of 2015, while still enrolled at Lincoln Technical Institute, Mike was hired as a CNC machinist at Ferry Machine Corporation in Little Ferry, NJ. After 4 years of machining experience at Ferry, Mike took his experience and skill-set to Phillips Precision Medicraft in Elmwood Park, NJ to further his career machining on 3/4/5 axis Haas milling machines. Duties include daily set-ups and machining only orthopedic implants and instruments, first and final piece inspection while maintaining a strict code of 5S, lean manufacturing and a high level of workmanship.The unexpected and dramatic downturn of business at Phillips Precision Medicraft in March of 2020 led Mike to be part of major layoffs but was able to regroup and land on his feet at Stelron Components in Mahwah NJ in February of 2021. Mike was responsible for setting up and CNC machining on a Wintec-3000 vertical mill. After over 2 successful years at Stelron, Mike made his way back into the orthopedic manufacturing industry, which he sorely missed. He is currently setting up and machining a 5 axis CNC Matsuura mill.
