The objective of Project URU/17/G32 "Towards a Sustainable and Efficient Urban Mobility System in Uruguay" is to promote low carbon and efficient transport model in Montevideo, to be replicated in other cities of Uruguay, based on the improvement of institutional capacities, the development of an adequate regulation and the application of innovative technologies.The project pretends to:- Analyze the current system of regulations and incentives, encouraging the implementation of new low-carbon public transport technologies, such as buses and electric taxis.- Fostering an innovative culture among managers in the public transport and urban logistics sectors, open to the early adoption of new technologies and ready to adopt a proactive approach to attract new users and customers.- Strengthening the capacities of the various competent authorities and public institutions for the implementation of integrated multisectoral policies supported by appropriate tools, such as, for example, instruments to monitor the functioning and quality of urban transport (particularly from an environmental perspective) or promotion of efficient vehicles with low CO2 emissions.The URU / 17 / G32 Project will be executed by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM) in close coordination with the Ministry of Housing, Territorial Planning and Environment (MVOTMA), with UNDP being the project's GEF Agency.https://www.thegef.org/project/towards-sustainable-and-efficient-urban-mobility-system-uruguay

Main responsibilities were to keep level of service of all facilities on construction site (warehouse, offices, workshops, accommodation) and to manage material warehouse and a fleet of machinery and cars, within budget and complying with all company policies such as environmental and safety standards.The scope of responsibility was to develop systems, facilities and staff to manage the following areas: materials warehouse, fleet management, site security, IT services, local purchases, accommodation, petty cash expenses, and keep them running throughout the project.Infrastructure and Logistics budget : +USD 8MM (materials and labour cost not included).

- Management of production personnel (20 staff members). - Control and planning of short-run production. - Coordination of corrective maintenance. - Assistance for Quality and HSE activities.

- Projects definition with sales team. - Planning, monitoring and execution of industrial projects. - In site personnel and tasks coordination. - Purchase of equipment. - Monitoring of project-related expenses.

- Monitoring, analysis and reporting of key performance indicators of the area. - Coordination of security related tasks: implementation of security policies, machinery and layout modifications to comply with safety standards.- Coordination of third parties activities: supplier selection, allocation and monitoring of jobs. - Participation in projects to improve performance, plant layout and materials usage in filling line. - Creation of the annual fixed expense budget of the area.

Follow up of expenses related with a rebranding project of the whole chain of petrol stations throughout the country.

- Support in ISO 9000 certification process. - Production organization assistance.
