Implementation Services (now Implementation Engineers) was my entry into management consulting. I represented the firm at global industry events on mining and manufacturing. My work set the standards for developing CEO contacts who want to go past strategy and implement measurable improvement. Some of our work was very technical and engineering based. While much of our work also included change management techniques. This insurance services company negotiated settlement accounts and managed appraisals for clients in automotive and heavy equipment insurance. Here, I designed and implemented new tools for marketing and prospecting. Our business growth came from my new clients and expansion with existing clients. I enjoyed a special project where I created a technology solution to manage client processing and internal business operations.

I was in a very public role in this important community organization. I managed two annual events, Dining Out For Life and Grand Masquerade. This involved public relations, marketing, volunteer management, and closing big corporate sponsorships. I also wrote the grant response for funding the very first on-site testing services.

I was in a position that helped youth explore their interests in leadership and recreation. My district involved hundreds of local leaders who worked as volunteers to extend the mission of Scouting to thousands of youth members. I lead fundraising activities and increased our membership. Summers were spent leading business operations and program functions at Ransburg Scout Reservation. This will always be a favorite memory of mine.
