Responsible for all aspects of the New Jersey Governor’s official residence which is a multifunctional property serving as a state park, historic house museum and official residence for the Governor and First Family.Specific day-to-day responsibilities include budget management, property maintenance, long term capital planning and human resource management. Develops and implements standard operating procedures and policies with the New Jersey Governor’s Office, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Drumthwacket Foundation. Facilitates and fulfills the Governor and First Family’s hospitality needs and expectations which include hosting official meetings, large receptions, large dinner parties and other celebrations and functions. Responsible for overall visitor experience on behalf of the Governor and First Family to fellow state employees, the Drumthwacket Foundation and the public, requiring extensive knowledge and demonstration of diplomacy and protocol.

Provided a host of consultative services for both private and public clients. Areas of expertise included: - General political analysis to candidate and issue campaigns.- Research and analysis of information and data for political campaigns at the municipal, county, state and federal levels of government.- Development and implementation of concise message strategies for targeted electoral constituencies. - Implementation of issue advocacy campaigns to build awareness.- Production of direct mail, press releases, speeches, radio and television advertisement scripts, letters and other message delivery platforms.- Media representation and crisis communication.- Reputation management.- Assisted in public/private business development.

Created effective public awareness programs to educate and constantly inform 5,000+ households about key services, emergency situations and raise public awareness on quality of life issues. Responsible for all publications and served as public information officer for all media inquires.Advocated for interests such as education budgets, consolidation initiatives and revenue enhancers. Presided over all public meetings, performed numerous presentations and speaking engagements.Lobbied State of New Jersey to take control of Borough’s financials to restructure debt repayment after discovering $3M deficit due to fiscal mismanagement. Secured $1.5M in extraordinary aid and terminated State oversight a year ahead of schedule.Restored fiscal accountability by working with State of New Jersey, resulting in significant credit upgrade issued by Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s. Secured over $10M for infrastructure improvements from county, state and federal sources.Increased volunteer participation by creating Dumont Shade Tree Commission, Dumont Joint Land Use Board and Dumont Ethics Board.Elected at age 25 by community of 17,500 residents. Reelected unopposed in 2007.

Managed a staff of 20 in addition to assisting the County Administrator in overseeing the County of Bergen’s 2,500 employees.Coordinated policy and public relations for the County Executive.Key communicator to the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Bergen County State Legislative Delegation, and 70 municipalities regarding policy, political and constituent matters.
