I worked as a mid-level engineer on the ITS Fiber Team. Our projects included auditing existing traffic infrastructure for municipalities as well as recommending and designing smart city maintenance and upgrades. I also served as the company's Quality Manager, overseeing QA/QC procedures and technical writing and reports. My main clients were Colorado Deportment of Transportation (CDOT), Regional Transportation District (RTD), and City and County of Denver (CCD).

I worked as an Environmental Air Quality Specialist for the Air Quality Permitting and Regulation team. Most of my work was at the state level in Texas and New Mexico. This included OOOOa and ZZZZ applicability. I worked mostly on Permit By Rule and Non-Standard Rule Permit applications. One of my specialties was LDAR reporting. I also spent time working on SPCC, doing site inspections and well sampling for decommissioned sites.

GroundWork Renewables performs solar resource assessments for prospective solar farm sites as a member of their field operations team. As a member of their field team, I constructed and commissioned weather stations that recorded solar and meteorological measurements. My position also involved doing maintenance on these stations, performing in situ troubleshooting, and collecting/analyzing data from the stations.

I was a Corrosion Engineer working in Gas Transmission & Distribution Technical Services. The group focused on cathodic protection of upstream and downstream systems, maintaining NACE and ASTM standards. My other work focused on Environmental Due Diligence. We acted as independent auditors when Oil & Gas assets changed ownership, inspecting facilities for potential environmental liabilities. I reviewed and updated client operations, EH&S, and maintenance procedures.

I spent my time as a masters student researching in LACER (Laboratory for Advanced Clean Energy Research). My project looked at the impact of moisture in biomass in biomass-PRB coal cofired flames. Experimental work was done in a swirl-stabilized burner using biomass (oak wood sawdust) of various moisture contents. This work was presented at the 2014 IEA Clean Coal Center Conference at Penn State. I presented the final results at the National Combustion Meeting in Cincinnati in May 2015.

I worked on the Autonomous Net-Zero Water Project. The project sought to create a small scale water treatment system that takes waste water and treats it up to drinking water standards. I worked for a year on the GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) tank design and selection. In my final year on the project I worked on iron-mediated aeration experiments to remove phosphorus. I wrote several lab reports for this, presenting literature reviews, experimental data, and making recommendations.

I spent a summer working under Dr. Marc Deshusses in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. My project explored ionic liquids as a possible alternative in gas sweetening biphasic biotrickling filters. We explored how bacteria tailored to breaking down Toluene and n-Heptane were assisted by ionic liquids. This project determined Henry coefficients.
