I successfully managed daily construction and manufacturing operations for assigned projects. Utilising excellent communications and relationship building skills, I conducted work order and pricing negotiations with suppliers and clients. I also assumed accountability and responsibility for overall project control and scheduling, ensuring accurate project completion by developing an efficient information flow system from the project manager to workshop and fitters. Other responsibilities included devising site-specific safety statements including risk analysis to ensure alignment to health & safety standards, organising the shipping of goods, resolving issues, handling inventory and material returns and surveying all building activities.

Within this position, I read analysed architect’s drawings in conjunction with site surveys. I also created assembly drawings, including bills of materials and detail drawings for the complete product portfolio before submitting drawings to architects for approval. Also, I was required to coordinate design decisions and required sign-offs with the relevant architects.

This role involved reading architect's plans and entering data into Logical system. Furthermore, I sourced and benchmarked prices from suppliers with subsequent negotiation of prices, terms and conditions before preparing and communicating tenders to clients.

Supervising up to 15 employees on production floor, I was accountable for coordinating tasks and delegating work to fabricators. Ensuring that all target deadlines were met, I monitored efficiencies in the process and use of materials, conducted quality checks and assisted production staff with manufacture, offering advice as required. Also, I efficiently prepared presented status updates at weekly management meetings.

I managed all relevant warehouse activities including the ordering of materials, stock allocation and sales. Additionally, I was responsible for moving materials using a forklift.

I manufactured and fitted PVC and aluminium curtain walling, roof lights, windows and doors. I also provided efficiency focused production solution analysis and implementation.
