I began my artistic career as a graphic designer in a pre-press environment. I was responsible for design, creation and layout of printed materials. After a number of years in the pre-press world, I moved on to work for an organization where I created artwork for screen-print.While working as a graphic designer, I chose to pursue my first love, animation. I attended courses at The Academy of Art University where I attained my BA in Animation.Soon after graduating, I found employment with a studio creating various CG projects with a focus on interactive instruction such as sports officiating, coaching, strategy and military training to name a few.After some time, an opportunity to work for a Christian ministry presented itself and my wife and I stepped out in faith to answer that call. It is here that I have grown as an artist the most. Having the opportunity to exercise all that I had learned and more for a wide range of projects. Modeling, animating, story-boarding, concept creation, character design, VFX, compositing, editing, sound design, script writing, planetarium show creation, exhibit design, stage design and much more.There's always something exciting and new and I love to work towards finding the best solutions. Currently I am helping to develop a VR experience for a themed attraction. Much like the planetarium, the challenge of a virtual environment is very unique and learning the differences and finding a new path has been very rewarding.
