In addition to the responsibilities described in the Purchasing Manager role below, oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of all manufacturing activities. Collaborate with department foremen to appropriately allocate the available resources to meet and exceed customer delivery expectations. Periodically evaluate the order backlog, and, after discussions with internal sales associates, set the manufacturing priority of all in-progress orders. Partner with the President to initiate a Lean Manufacturing Program, and with the manufacturing teams to identify, plan, and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives. Provide guidance to floor level associates regarding material quality standards, and collaborate with internal and external teams to spearhead a Root Cause Analysis when said quality standards are not met. Topics participated in include, but are not limited to: 1,3, and 5 year Strategic Planning, Competitive & Market Analysis, Marketing & Sales Strategy Advancement, Staffing & Resource Need Identification, and New Product R&D. In addition, establish and implement all strategic and day-to-day Information Technology activities. Responsibilities include conducting the need analysis, product selection, and implementation of infrastructure, workstation, and enterprise software solutions, providing Tier 1 user support and troubleshooting to the general user population, and maintaining company relationships with external IT partners.

Evaluate material consumption data, and, per inventory management philosophies set in conjunction with company leadership, establish item reorder points and purchasing levels to ensure appropriate inventory carry and turnover.
