Born in the Netherlands within a typical restaurant, wine and hotel family. I followed my passion for hospitality by attending Hotelschool Amsterdam followed by Hotelschool The Hague including vinology certification. This led to an exciting international career in hotel management as well as consulting on topics such as tourism, concept development & innovation, quality & brand management, service process improvement and training & development.Through my engagement in HANEN and Bondens Marked, I am so fortunate to be able to promote Norwegian local food and drinks as well as the beautiful rural areas Norway has to offer. I have been closely involved in various initiatives supporting the Norwegian cider and fruit wine industry such as industry event, competitions, tasting events, judging, seminars and study tours. The highlight was the first edition of the Nordic International Cider Awards (NICA) in Bergen Norway in November 2022, which entailed an international cider competition, an industry conference and cider festival.
