Within Eurofins Agro I was responsible for the customer relations, partnerships, product development and sales in the Dutch Arable Farming and Dairy Farming sector.

During my first year within Eurofins Agro I was responsible for the customer relations, partnerships, product development and sales in the Dutch Arable Farming sector.

AgroConnect is an association that contributes to the promotion of data interoperability between companies and organizations active in the Dutch Agri and Food sector. Around 100 Dutch member-companies trade goods, services, products and produce with farmers. AgroConnect organizes its activities through working groups, a digitalization pillar and a network pillar.

HydroLogic operates on the interface of water management, meteorology and ICT. Its widely recognized HydroNET software connects to a variety of data sources which are combined with sector specific knowledge resulting in online services, such as personalized dashboards, overviews and advisories. HydroNET is offered as SaaS and is used by clients in the water, agriculture, mining, insurance and energy domain. Within HydroLogic I was responsible for the international roll-out of HydroNET and related services.

NEVASCO is a cooperative which unites Dutch remote sensing companies in order to increase the strength of its members through collaboration. NEVASCO members are typically active in different industries and identify opportunities for each other. I have been actively involved in the creation of NEVASCO and was active as board member since its establishment.

As Managing Director and only board member I was responsible for all aspects of the company.• I successfully changed the focus of the company which improved its financial and strategic position. As a result eLEAF developed from the edge of bankruptcy to a profitable, growing company with an appealing product range and diverse customer base.• Responsible for P&L, preparation of strategical 5 years plan, annual budget and general business plans.• Building and coaching a multi-disciplinary team with multiple nationalities.• Streamlining and optimizing operational processes.• Acquisition and integration of EARS – the oldest Dutch remote sensing company.

As Chief Competence Center I led the Competence Center of eLEAF. The activities of the Competence Center include consultancy and R&D projects.The R&D activities aim at enlarging the PiMapping® technology enabling eLEAF to deliver more and better data components in the field of water, vegetation and environment.The consultancy projects of eLEAF's Competence Center all relate to the implementation of data components around the globe.

As operational manager I was responsible of the day-to-day business at WaterWatch. Besides the coordination and planning of current activities and manpower I took care of the technical design and budget of new proposals.

The board of WaterWatch takes care of the general leadership of the company and the definition and implementation of the long term goals and policy.

WaterWatch provides remote sensing services in the field of watermanagement. Water scarcity and non-benificial evaporation can be mapped by means of satellite imagery.WaterWatch is also active in the field of precision farming, again, making use of satellite imagery.

During the internship the first edition of the MeteoLook algorithm has been build. This algorithm can be used to interpolate measured meteorological variables in space. MeteoLook is strongly physically based. It can be applied in remote areas, making use of available remote sensing products.

Changes in flow pattern of Makanya River, Tanzania examined through fieldwork and questionnaires with local elders.
