As a seasonal support employee at Premier Marinas Gosport, I provided general support in the day to day running of the marina. This was primarily a customer service role, mainly at the front desk in reception handling enquiries both in person and over the telephone. A comprehensive list of duties includes:• Providing customer service in the office, engaging with both existing berth holders and visitors through face-to-face discussions, over the telephone and via the VHF Radio.• Active tasks on the marina, such as moving boats to alternative berths and manning the fuel bay during peak periods.• Using the in-house computer system for a variety of tasks including tracking boat movements, invoicing customers, logging enquiries and monitoring visitors.• Berthing master shifts, managing berth allocation and ensuring all customers, both visitors and berth holders go to the correct berth.• Night shifts, which involve dealing with customer enquiries and providing security on site.This role required teamwork, flexibility and an ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
