Woke up one day and decided im not gonna be working for anyone. With respect to those who do, im not destined for the 401k lifestyle. I want more. Not in a greedy way but in a way where i can help others the way others helped me get to this point and those who are helping me rn pursue my goals and dreams. I don't care who you are, what you look like, or where you're from. Im positive we can teach eachother somthing even if that somthing doesnt have to do with being an entrepreneur.Im first generation in the u.s and i feel an obligation not just to myself and mines but to anyone who will be the next to come after me. My parents come from the islands and it took for me to see the lifestyle in their villages to get the point and why they were so hard on my siblings and i to succeed in school, sports, life in general and to land a good career. Unfortunatley i still lost my way and having to learn the hard way. Not taking school or advice seriously, and using any excuse to not want more for myself. Stop reading if you've heard this before. "Wrong/different crowd, Jail, lack of opportunity, stayed straight and narow, loss of friends, almost lost hope, work, made new friends, stayed open minded, work, evolved my mindset, learned from others, continue to grow, work, kept learning from successful folks and their story, making no sense to others who dont see my vision." The only way is up, with a bunch of apologies to parents and other good influences who never gave up on me wanting change for myself and a dead end mentality. An old native american cell mate told me what a lifer told him at one time when he was a first timer around my age "If you tough and gangsta enough to want to live life in here, you should be tough and gangsta enough to live life outside of here as well. Take care of yourself and I don't ever want to see u again!! stupid boy." Although he didn't take to that advice i can tell he wanted me to. When i got out in 2014, I i've never stopped wanting to learn and bring good food for thought to anyone who has the young deadend mindset i once had. I havent learned everything yet as a 28 year old pacific islander, but i know there are plenty of brothers and sisters out there who can help me on my journey in life and business. Samoan saying my mom told me "faatau le alofa ma le alofa" in english " buy love with love" .This is a business module i see many entrepenuers use already in their own way. Now that's the gang i want to join, for life
