Security Analyst
As a Security Analyst, my role is critical in ensuring the safety and protection of our organization's assets and information. Responsible for monitoring and responding to notifications and alerts from various security tools such as Crowdstrike, Netskope, Lacework, Tenable.io, and Cylance. Responsible for analyzing security incident/detection data coming out of these platforms to identify, remediate, and document root causes.Administrator for Netskope, Crowdstrike, and Tenable. Ensure all agents or sensors are operating as expected across all necessary endpoints. Create/modify rulesets across tools to achieve optimized security across organization devices.Stay ahead of potential security threats, research security vulnerabilities and industry trends as well keeping up-to-date with the latest updates in the field. Perform routine security activities such as access review audits to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information.Improve the security program, take on quarterly goals/initiatives that improve the overall security posture of the organization. Examples of a few of the initiates from recent quarters: Improve the vulnerability management program by disassembling the previous processes in place and re-implementing new processes to better improve the program to comply with the organizations patch management standard.Improve the organizations security posture by implementing Google DLP across the organization. This required extensive research and testing of features/capabilities of Google DLP. Also, part of this initiative involved revising the organizations data classification standard to better integrate with Google DLP.
