As per "Data Engineer" below but also responsible for:• Supporting/directing the Halliburton mudlogging crew at the wellsite;• Highlighting the need to use and follow Risk Assessments, MSDS/COSHH, wear appropriate PPE, take out required Work Permits, support rig/client safety systems and attend rig safety meetings as well as holding internal ones;• Ensuring administrative requirements are met, e.g. controlling stock levels, prompt submission of: morning operations reports, monthly paperwork and End of Well Report and logs;• Using and promoting the use of Halliburton's Work Practices Manual to help meet Halliburton Management System requirements;• Promoting good housekeeping and equipment maintenance routines.

As per "Mudlogging Geologist" below but also responsible for:• Training and quality checking of all work carried out by Mudlogger;• Written reporting to the oil company e.g. End of Well Report, Daily Midnight Reports and Surge/Swab Hydraulics Reports;• Producing accurate drilling logs for distribution to the client (Formation/Drilling/Pressure Evaluation & Gas Ratio);• Working with Logistics to ensure appropriate crew changes occur, stock levels are maintained and faulty equipment is correctly backloaded.

• Monitoring real time drilling parameters to increase safety and reduce non-productive time, including lagged gas, mud volumes, weights and temperatures, depth, WOB, torque, RPM, mud flow, standpipe & choke pressure and informing key personnel of any unplanned changes;• Collecting, processing, logging and analysing geological samples through use of a microscope, fluoroscope and calcimeter;• Determining sample lithology and recording oil or gas shows;• Operating and maintaining a real-time computer-based data acquisition system (INSITE) including a network of PCs linked to the drillfloor, client personnel, and back onshore;• Writing geological evaluation section of End of Well Report; • Producing an accurate Formation Evalution Log (FEL) for distribution to the client;• Keeping an up to date stock and chemical inventory;• Actively participating in all required HSE programs including START, STOP, TOFS, JSA and permit to work.
