Senior Plant Foreman for Caspian Mining on the Williamson Diamonds Mine in Mwadui, Tanzania.The company is responsible for all earth works including drilling, blasting, load and haul.We have a fleet of 49 units made up of both Caterpillar and Komatsu. I am responsible for a 120 strong maintenance department. As well as my own duties I am acting Plant Manager when he is either on leave or off sick.

Employed on a short term 3 month contract to upgrade/introduce best practices regarding maintenance and repair on a varied fleet of mobile plant engaged on a highway project.Duties included working hands on with the local mechanics and the service crew. Teaching supervisory staff to prioritise work outstanding. Set up an on site main workshop area. Interpret scheduled oil sampling reports. Develop a planned maintenance service scheduling system. Develop an on site parts facility.

Provided support to large mining companies including P.W, Geita, and Golden PridePlanned and implemented the day to day operations of the service department of the Mwanza Branch (second largest branch in Tanzania). Responsible for 9 branch engineers including 5 mobile. Supported and advised three on site teams of engineers.Carried out on site diagnostics and hands on repairs when team required additional support.Was required to act as Service Manager at short notice for a considerable amount of time.

Represented Caterpillar on several large mining contracts in Peru and Bolivia.Seconded to the Yanacocha Gold Mine Project in Northern Peru for three and a half years.Provided maintenance support and advise to both Dealer and CustomerAssisted the dealer in the development of it's on site branch and parts facility.Represented Caterpillar at monthly site review meetings. Composed and presented failure analysis reports when necessary Composed reports of site assembly and commissioning of all new equipment arriving on site. Seconded to the Ghazi Barotha hydro-electric project.A 2.25 billion dollar project. Assisted Branch Manager to install a satellite branch to fully support the project. Responsible for eight indigenous service engineers and five indigenous service support staff. Acted as Branch Manager in his absence.Carried out on site trouble-shooting and repair when required to support field engineers.Worked closely with main contractor.Organised and conducted in house training programme.Applied warranty policy.

Al-Bahar (Caterpillar Dealer) Kuwait Involved extensive marine work. Seconded to the Kuwait Navy for a twelve month

Al-Awda fire fighting project Kuwait.Involved maintenance and repair of a Caterpillar fleet under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions.Provided front line support to the fire fighting crews.

Responsible for the supervision, scheduling, maintenance and repair for the full range of plant and equipment.Value US$26 million.Trained indigenous engineers in the practise and theory of service and maintenance.Demonstrated and gave 'hands on' support.Prepared quarterly reports for client.Advised on parts stock levels
