Life is all about learning and it never stops.Turning lists of numbers into compelling visualizations through meticulous data dissection is what drives me every day. I enjoy exploring the vast range of free, public datasets while creating my own tasks and challenges. In my free time I enjoy climbing, making music, biking, hiking, fishing, team sports, games, cooking, meditation, and more.I spent much of my time at SBU studying and manipulating my own experimental data. I consistently and effectively presented my results with propagated uncertainties to teams of physicists. We were expected to closely follow the scientific paper guidelines and standards of APS Physical Review A. Like physicists, we learned how to think and how to compute. Working first in Fortran and later in C++ and MATLAB, we often simulated physical phenomena to study them more closely.My background in education prepares me to explain complex topics to lay people. Creating visualizations, exposing important relations, and using simple language is often what's most effective.
