This position requires interaction with more than a dozen development teams to coordinate the integration effort. June 2003 - March 2006: Team Lead for a team responsible for developing components and frameworks for re-use, such as Java Swing components, a desktop framework, and a security framework. Also worked briefly with the User Experience team designing user interfaces for airline products.June 2000 - June 2003: Senior Developer on at team developing an IDE for use by travel agents and airlines. The IDE was written in Java and Java Swing.

Lead a team of software developers to successfully implement features for an on-line ordering system (for telecom equipment and DSL installations) using J2EE. This entailed developing the domain class diagram and working with another team of DBA and developers to produce the data objects for communication between the front-end web service and the back-end Cobol service.Developed features for the previous on-line ordering system in SmallTalk. Also was responsible for configuration management of the SmallTalk application.

Project Manager and developer of an automated underwriting system, the first of its kind. Developed a system to communicate with 2 leading credit companies, communicate with the mainframe loan origination system, and produce a detailed evaluation. The evaluation was done via neural networks and an expert system (which was later replaced by a more efficient SmallTalk application). The results were simultaneously sent back to the mainframe application, and printed at the corresponding underwriting office (not always local) using peer to peer networking.Also, produced a GUI application for the underwriting manager to view the approval rates per underwriting region and branch. The application was updated in real-time.Previous to this position, was a Business Analyst in the Applied Technology Department. Evaluated new technolgies and produced reports justifying the use of certain technologies (considering cost savings, productivity gains, and quality improvements).
