The main purposes of this role is to promote, coordinate and support Massey University academic and professional staff in the development, production, management and dissemination of digital media enriched resources for both synchronous and asynchronous on-line learning. This is also a strategic role in the development of technology-enhanced learning activities, experiences and in learning system design and in doing so increase the capability of instructors in appropriate knowledge and use of educational technologies in the enhancement of their learning and teaching practice.

The primary functions of this role was to provide multimedia, graphical and design support in producing both printed and web based media (Multimedia) to Information Technology Services (ITS) and the wider Massey University community as well as provide practical technical advice in the use and function of multimedia technologies including various delivery techniques (best practices) to student classes and other members of the University's Colleges, Divisions and Campuses.
