I specialise in the resolution of disputes involving intellectual property, and the law of defamation and privacy.My intellectual property work includes the enforcement and protection of clients’ intellectual property; disputes relating to the infringement of trade marks, passing off, unlawful use of confidential information and trade secrets, the infringement of (registered and unregistered) designs, copyright and patents. The sectors to which my expertise extends include retail, textiles, fashion, franchising; leisure and sport; and manufacturing. I also specialise in trade libel and reputation management, particularly in the context of social media and networking platforms and the management of adverse or intrusive media coverage of clients’ business interests or personal lives.I am regularly appointed by the court to act as a supervising solicitor in the execution of search and seize orders in intellectual property cases, and I have recognised experience of search orders from all perspectives (whether claimant, defendant or supervising solicitor).I was first named as a Leading Individual in 2008 and 2009 by Legal 500 for both the fields of intellectual property and media & entertainment, and was praised for my “sound, imaginative and thoughtful” advice and for being "talented and energetic".
