Investigated precise locations for clean outs and isolation valves.• Monitored the Leak Detection System that implemented the use of SCADA.• Prepared a test section on API 5L x70 seamless steel pipe for a preliminary hydrostatic test as specified in ASTM. - Isolated the pipe section to be tested. - Calibrated pressure gages to within 2% of full scale. - Carried out the test using water as the fluid at approx 23 ⁰C and pumped more water (with dye) accordingly to maintain test pressure of 1750 Psig. (1.25 x design pressure).
