I am a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector. In my current position at a leading Drilling Contractor in Canada, I have been involved with multidisciplinary projects related to complex well design, drilling, cementing, abandonments & waste management.My recent successes include:- As a member of the rig crew, safely drilled 5+ development wells with potential H2S concentrations in the Fort McMurray area. - Actively participated & contributed to the successful cementing & abandonment of 20+ wells in the North Aurora Oilsands field.- Spearheaded continuous improvement initiates for field activities & responsible for conducting Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs); resulting in the reduction of major incidents on Rig 1 by more than 95%. During my spare time, I routinely work with SME’s as a freelance consulting engineer assisting them with detailed design drawings, authority approvals and site supervision. I love travelling around the world, trying out the local cuisines, and reading about the financial markets. I also actively manage and implement investment strategies for our family portfolio.
