I am the creator of BarryLewis.net a website and YouTube channel I started when I wanted to teach myself how to cook. I used to hate cooking, so thought one way to learn would be to upload my video attempts online to inspire others. I picked up a camcorder, cooked a poached egg, grabbed some cheap video making software and the rest is history. To cut a long story short I have since left my job in the Construction Industry to concentrate on this as a business full-time. I have released 2 cookbooks and have had over 400 million views to date as of 2023 across long form platforms YouTube & Facebook. It's fair to say i'm on a great journey and have fallen in love with food, as my confidence in the kitchen has increased so has my ability in front of the camera - it's strange cooking without a camera for me now! Although the spine of my content is still learning to cook (every video I make is me making that dish for the first time) I still like to have fun too and occassionally make fun food themed videos - such as testing different kitchen gadgets & appliances, making giant confectionary, attempting kitchen hacks that have gone viral or tasting foods from around the World that I am sent.I've done videos for several large brands including McDonald’s, Microsoft & Google, provided online content for the BBC & International broadcasters. I've appeared on Local, Regional, National & International radio & TV including The Gadget Show, The Apprentice & This Morning.I'm an extremely approachable and creative individual that is always open to new avenues and collaborations with brands. Please get in touch via my website if you would like to discuss any opportunities.
