I am currently a math teacher for the upper school at ASM. I am in a team of four math teachers and currently teach all math courses for 6th and 7th grades as well as for half the 8th grade students. I am working towards IB certification for the upcoming school year.

I led district-wide workshops with up to 100 teachers at a time for my school district. I would plan and lead initial trainings as well as refresher trainings. CPI training gives educators the skills to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile, or violent behaviors while balancing the responsibilities of care. Includes safe restraining techniques, though specializes in intervention strategies and techniques to prevent violent behaviors.

I led workshops for training research-based math practices for math teachers. I would plan and lead initial week-long workshops as well as follow-up training. I would also do observations of math classrooms, providing constructive feedback to individual math teachers. I would also set up a booth and host a session at math/science conventions when needed.

Worked as a teacher for the After School Academy targeting at-risk students and students in need of academic intervention. This program was for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade who had been referred to by their Gen Ed teacher. I focused mostly on physical and emotional wellness and subbed for the Math Intervention teacher when she was absent.

I worked in the Special Ed. Dept. I worked in a self-contained classroom my first year at Westside. Afterwards I have worked with inclusion students in the Gen. Ed. classroom, mostly in a 3rd grade classroom. I would also serve minutes on other students in other grades each day as well. Last year I have worked mostly in a 4th grade classroom. My last year, I worked mainly in a 5th grade setting. I was CPI trained in the safe practices of deescalation and restraint.

Tutored mostly high school students from Algebra to Pre-Calculus. Also tutored home-schooled students preparing for college entrance exams.

Tutored a Saudi Arabian transfer student in conversational English as well as rehearsing sight words and reading 3rd Grade level children's books.

Hired on as a sales associate in the Hardware dept. Worked in Hardware for nearly two years before transfering to the morning Packdown team. The trasnfer of departments was necessary to obtain work hours that better suited my schedule of going to college full-time.

I helped students at Pittsburg State that would come to me with help on their essays and with tests. I helped several students whose 1st language was not English with grammar, language arts, and with their English in general.

Went in after hours and cleaned whole facility. Sanitized workout equipment, vacuumed and mopped floors, bathrooms, etc. I was the only person hired to clean, so I performed all tasks by myself under my own supervision.
