I lead a distributed team of talented and dedicated software and systems engineers that use a diverse set of skills to solve complex Live, Virtual, and Constructive training (LVCt) interoperability challenges. I work in a large multidisciplinary engineering organization where I collaborate daily with members of my team, colleagues from other functional teams, stakeholders, and customers on a global scale to deliver cutting edge training tools to those that keep our nation safe.I have spent the last 16 years of my career working my way up from junior developer to product lead on the Navy's Joint Simulation Bus (JBUS) application. In doing so I have developed broad experience translating and integrating protocols/specifications such as HLA (NCTE Interoperability Standard/NTF, NASMP, JLVC), DIS (v4-v7), TENA (MW 6.0.x), GCCS/OTH-Gold, Link 16 (SISO, SIMPLE/STANG-5602, JREAP-C/MIL-STD-3011, MIL-STD-6016), Link 11/MIL-STD-6011, AIS, Iridium, Instrumentation Network (iNet), P5/TCTS, TCTS II, IFF, ASTERIX, and many, many more. I have a strong Java background with some JavaScript experience. Over the years I have used svn and git extensively along with JIRA and Confluence. Build system experience includes ant and Gradle.In addition to leading a team of up to 25 project managers and software engineers I have served in Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Technical Lead roles. I have also served as a project manager on multiple project executing simultaneously, but dislike it.Active TS with SCI eligibility.
