Although I oversee day-to-day development and implementation, my true passion begins in the early stages of projects. Upon joining Evolution, I pioneered an EMR software that would manage the medical records and accounting activities (e.g., billing, time tracking) for staff at the outpatient clinic. The company not only wanted to centralize the storage of medical records, they needed to reduce the amount of time their administrative and medical staff spent on various tasks. We set out to develop an on-demand EMR system that was HIPAA compliant and handled other critical areas of their operation. This meant creating various permission levels with controlled access. As the project progressed, we introduced a full portfolio of features, including appointment scheduling, patient/staff communications, payment system, and so on.
