I am an Immunology PhD candidate at the University of Michigan researching the immune response to brain cancers. More specifically, I study several mechanisms of immune modulation in mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase gliomas compared to their wildtype counterparts in order to identify a biologic target for potential therapy. To this end I use several techniques especially in vivo mouse work, human tissue collection from neurosurgeon collaborators, scRNA-sequencing data analysis, and flow cytometry among other tools. I love what I do, which extends to speaking about it. Feel open to contacting me and asking more about it. I graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from St. Mary's University. During this time, 1) I conducted research at St. Mary's University producing and isolating a protein from a bacterial expression system followed by assays to test protein functions. 2) I assisted a team in examining the link between autoimmunity and aging at UT Health San Antonio. 3) I researched with the lack of effective protective immunity against plasmodium infection at the University of Iowa.
