Spending my early career as an entrepreneur, I started and ran a multi-million dollar services business, where I truly learned how to manage a large team, concept design and initiation, and strategic marketing. My expertise in a niche-based business and new market penetration set me up for success when I transitioned into starting a 21st Century school for the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs . . (which began as my own children and whomever would follow along in the journey :)Alpha, an ultra-progressive K-12 private school in Austin, created a new learning method for our next generation of leaders. As the founder, I take pride in the impact technology, and academic coaches have on our children. Additionally, I have founded MavLab Learning, a learning program that helps students prepare for the world through critical thinking, self-directed learning, leadership, and public presentation. The student-directed, multi-subject, and experiential approach has students creating outcomes for their future that they never thought were possible.Helping people is my passion, whether it's advancing children academically or leaders who need help making tough decisions. As a Vistage Chair, I strive to give my members a safe place to get vulnerable and dive deep into the biggest issues and opportunities facing them personally and professionally. Our group supports each other, holds each other accountable, and offers an unbiased perspective. My members are unique, open to challenge, have a journey mindset, are not complacent, and are willing to get uncomfortable.I have seen firsthand the impact an executive group can have on a business leader, personally and professionally, and I am looking to give back the same value I received. Executives need a peer group and a coach to help them make tough decisions and give them the confidence to reinvent and jump into the unknown. My dedication lies in developing leaders, both big and small.Everything that happens in the future is dictated by what you do right now.
