Own product development, program management, & procurement for 11-person team developing novel clean energy hardware with radically reduced CAPEX

Led proposal development, contracting, and project execution planning phases for first-of-kind deployment of a 1MW x 10hr flow battery at Ft Carson for the US Army.

Led business development efforts in Asia and domestically with US utility-scale customers for innovative zinc bromine battery. Led execution and delivery of first battery to mainland China.

Managed LP Amina's global engineering resources (twenty people globally, split between US and China). Led business development for new customers in the US and in emerging markets such as India.

Integrated new technologies into the LP Amina umbrella, revamped our technology development and product deployment processes, and improved the workflow between our US and China technical teams. Built partnerships with several US and international heat recovery steam generator and boiler manufacturers, as well as with US DOE and USTDA.

Built and managed team of eight project and discipline engineers to execute on our growing business providing environmental solutions for thermal power plants in the US and China. Executed seven $3-$5 million projects (selective catalytic reduction, carbon monoxide oxidation), managing the entire process from sales proposal to commissioning for two of the projects. Developed internal processes and systems, including ISO9001 QMP procedures.

Built and managed new team of local engineers to develop novel environmental and energy products. - Led the preliminary design for several low NOx boiler retrofits on corner-, wall-, and down-fired boilers- Prototyped, operated, and improved the design of a coal-to-chemical reactor- Developed improved coal classification technology for vertical-axis and ball mills- Led business development efforts, as well as performance analytics group

Managed team of twelve Chinese engineers designing several NOx reduction projects (including low NOx burners, air staging, SCR, and SNCR). Collaborated with Projects to complete procurement & construction and with Sales to secure new jobs & negotiate technical contracts.

The Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) is a 501(c)(3) leadership development organization working in Washington D.C. and the San Francisco Bay Area. CELI provides early career professionals with the technical content, leadership development, and a professional community to build the next generation of clean energy leaders.

Managed and analyzed performance tests according to ASME codes (PTC 4, PTC 6, PTC 22). Responsible for 25+ tests in 12 states, including coordinating site personnel, supervising & installing temporary instruments, and sharing results with clients & OEMs (combined- & simple-cycle gas turbines). Developed performance analysis tool. Evaluated economic impact (energy commodity margin) of upgrading technologies (aeroderivative, integrated solar combined cycle, etc) in PJM, CAISO, & ERCOT markets.

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is GEs premier technical career path. Designed for top talent individuals, this program develops future GE Engineering leaders by focusing on (1) technical skill through rotations in different engineering departments, intensive technical training plus normal work, Worked on conceptual design of next-generation gas turbine, integrated gasification and combined cycle instrumentation, installation and commissioning of wind turbines, and fleet support & product services for thermal power plants.

Authored white papers on fuel usage and on the growth of renewables in China. Created database tool for analyzing Chinese energy usage at a provincial level.
