My passion is for helping and mentoring others, especially in the realms of business and finance. I have an unusual mix of analytical brain and a creative side, that combine to help me excel at spotting trends and coming up with ideas and solutions. I pride myself on thinking outside the box, being willing to try things that are different or unorthodox. Being a designated accountant who has a wealth of experience in both public practice and industry, I understand both sides of things, which gives me a unique perspective. I subscribe to the saying "Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day...teach someone to fish and you feed them for a lifetime." It absolutely thrills me when I can help a client to learn a key concept that changes their life. That's what gets me excited to get up in the morning.I love a challenge and I am always looking for an opportunity to ask "why" and improve.I am also an author. My first book, "The Cash Diet", will be published soon.My wife and I have 6 kids (including a set of twins) and I love getting the chance to spend time with them. I learn a lot from them and they bring me so much joy. I am actively involved with my church (LDS). I am also an active member of BNI, currently serving as the vice-president of BNI Parkland. I am a bit of a tech geek. I love to take on new technology and learn new computers and operating systems. That also means that I end up being the go-to guy many times for family and friends when it comes to fixing computer and other tech issues. I am also very passionate about music, having played the piano for 26 years and written many songs, including one that I sang and played at my high school graduation, and another one for my wedding. So much emotion and feelings can be expressed through the precious gift of music.
