My role here was video specialist. I helped put together meaningful video concepts and see them through to completion. My job was not just to work hands-on with the video department but to bring an international flair to the content we were creating. Being an international school it was important that we didn't just cater to the Vietnamese in our marketing so it was my job to bring a fresh "international" perspective.Editing was a huge part of what I did as well. TDS is a school and not a film company so, wherever we lacked in resources, we make up for it in creativity.

As one of the lead singers and lead guitarists for TPT, I was fortunate to be a part of a successful music group that produced several award-winning albums. Our 2008 DVD earned us the Best DVD award at the SABC Crown Music Awards, and we were also nominated for the "Global Chart DVD" category at the 15th Annual MTN South African Music Awards.The following year, we won Best DVD again at the SABC Crown Music Awards and received nominations for "Global Chart DVD" and "Best Contemporary Christian Album" at the 16th Annual MTN South African Music Awards. In 2011, we were honored with two SABC Crown Music Awards for Best Gospel Rock Album and Best Engineer, and we also won the award for Best Contemporary Faith Music Album at the 18th Annual MTN South African Music Awards.Our success continued into 2013 when our album was awarded Best Engineer at the 6th annual SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards. In addition to my role as lead singer and guitarist in TPT, I gained valuable experience in various aspects of the music industry. I learned a great deal about event management, including organizing tours and scheduling performances. Recording and producing our albums also provided me with insights into the technical aspects of the music industry.Moreover, I spent considerable time learning about film production while recording music videos and our live DVDs. This experience allowed me to gain an understanding of the intersection between music and film production, including the art of cinematography, directing, and video editing. Through my time in TPT, I developed a diverse skillset that extends beyond performing music, and I've been able to utilize these skills in all my endeavors.

I was fortunate to travel the world and film all the campuses in different countries and cities. After filming each site I would take the interviews and b-roll and put short documentaries together that would be featured at their annual summit in Johannesburg South Africa. These videos would also air across Africa and Europe on their weekly TV show - "Living Life".When I started here, my responsibilities were quite different. My role was more in-house focused and every week we had different events that would need to be promoted in the services. It was my job to edit those ads. Please take the date of recording into consideration when viewing the featured videos here. I've posted them more to show how far I've come rather than showcase my skill back then.

We won the Yamaha young talent competition and performed at many corporate government events.
