Facilitated tender reviews during the evaluation period, focusing on risk mitigation, change management reduction and commercial and financial analysis. Required the coordination of commercial, legal and technical advisors. Was also responsible for the auditing of the cost forecasting for the zone (~$250m)2. Glenroy Level Crossing Removal Project ($286m) (June 20 - Oct 22)3. Keon Parade Level Crossing Removal ($277m) (Oct 22 - July 23)

Contract Administrator on the DPFC Project - Gatehouse ($62m)Created and maintained a procurement and commercial strategy for the Gatehouse Building, a $62m new build at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a high-security corrections facility. As a Contract Administrator, was responsible for and reported on the entire life cycle of subcontracts, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, risk assessment, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and closeout. Assisted with Head Contract administration (Payment claims / Change management) dealing directly with the Client to balance both parties’ preferred outcomes.

Contracts I've consulted to:--Hammersmith Flyover--Crossrail (West Out Track Infrastructure) (See below for more details)

Crossrail is the biggest construction project in Europe and is one of the largest single infrastructure investments undertaken in the UK.Contracts:---West Outer Track Infrastructure (WOTI) ContractUnder this Contract I undertook the role of Assistant Commercial Manager for the head contract. For a 6 month period I stepped up into the Commercial Manager position while a new manager was recruited. My team of 5 quantity surveyors are responsible for:~Commercial Management - Advising the client on their contractual position during the contract period and final account negotiation. ~Contract Administration - Creating and processing change requestions and extension of time (EOT) notices.~Contract Practice - Ensuring that the contractor is undertaking all the contractual requirements as defined in the contract.~Project financial control and reporting - Populating the contractors cost plan, monthly report and monthly payment application. Presenting these reports to upper management and answering any questions.~Subcontract Management - Ensuring that subcontractor accounts are properly managed, paid on time and final accounted in accordance with the Balfour Beatty procedures.~Team Management - Ensuring that my team of 5 Quantity Surveyors are completing tasks within the required time frame, are maintaining the contractors position and establishing a friendly rapport with the clients team.

Within the QCLNG project I have been involved in the three head contracts as the work has been completed.--- Early Works Contract ($300m) - Contract Administrator --- 6+1 Compression South ($600m) - Contract Administrator--- 18+4 Upstream Compression ($1.8b) - Contract AdministratorWithin theses contracts I undertook a Post-Contract Contract Administration role for the Client undertaking the following tasks:~Commercial Management - Advising the client on their contractual position during the contract period and final account negotiation. ~Contract Administration - Reviewing and processing the contractors Variations and Extension of Time (EOT) notices and re-measurement of construction drawings.~Contract Practice - Carrying out contractual mechanisms of requesting bonds from the Contractor when due, issue practical completion certificates, issue variation orders and extensions of time via commercial correspondence. ~Project financial control and reporting - Reviewing and processing the Contractors Monthly Payment Claim (lodged under BCIPA). Creation of Contracts and Procurement (C&P) monthly financial report to be presented to management.

Aquenta Consulting is an established provider of integrated project services to the infrastructure, resources and building markets. During my first three years at Aquenta I undertook a Quantity Surveyor role within the Civil department. I was a Pre-Contract Quantity Surveyor for B&F Interiors, a Ceiling and Partition Subcontractor undertaking the following:Quantification of Construction Works• Accurately measured drawings and created lump sum prices for submission to the contractor.• Bulk-checked others' estimates before their submission.Tendering• Created and submitted estimates within the time frame given by the contractor.• Complied with any measurement requests.• Negotiated tender offers with builders.• Priced (via first principles) and submitted any variations that arose on contracts that I had priced and won.• Managed the tender register and delegated estimates out to the estimating team.
