CurrentAs the Director of Development, Data, and System Integrations at Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc., I thrive in a role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on contributions to various facets of systems development. I also manage vendor relationships with Domo and CLEO.Unlike traditional Director positions, my role goes beyond mere oversight. I actively contribute to the development process, ensuring our systems are robust, efficient, and seamlessly integrated. My primary focus revolves around leveraging Domo to empower various business areas, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the availability of the right technology and resources for their success. Additionally, I provide direction to five talented team members consisting of a .NET developer, two DOMO developers, a JDE developer, and an Integrations Manager responsible for maintaining and documenting all API and integration activities with third-party systems.With a keen eye for innovation and emerging technologies, I continuously explore new possibilities to enhance our development practice, helping to cultivate expertise in driving data-driven decision-making, system integrations, and seamless collaboration between diverse stakeholders. I am one of the resident experts on Generative AI tools and am exploring how the associated products may one day enable more efficient and creative problem-solving.
