I help clients stop struggling with insomnia so they can live the life they want to live. I am passionate about harnessing the power of online education, online community, and the web’s ability to transform peoples' lives for the better.In 1999 I purchased my very first computer, connected to the internet, and was amazed by the opportunity and potential this (relatively!) new technology had to offer. This led to me creating my own chat site in 2000. The website grew rapidly, leading me to focus on the art of online community building and online community management. In 2008, I emigrated from the United Kingdom to the United States and experienced something that had never affected me in the past — insomnia. Knowing the wealth of information that was available online, I looked to the web for answers but came up short. As I researched insomnia, I learned about techniques that were grounded in evidence and proven to be effective. Known as cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), this collection of techniques helped me improve my sleep, prompting me to ask whether they could help others, too.This triggered an intensive period of education, culminating in 2018 when I earned my master’s degree in health and wellness education, became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®), earned my Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH), and became an ACE Certified Health Coach.As a direct result of my ongoing commitment to continuing education, my coaching is now more aligned with the philosophy of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I am committed to ongoing professional development, client advocacy, unwavering ethical principles, and the highest level of integrity. Learning is a life-long process — and life is a journey of continuous personal improvement.
