- Lead web application developer with primary responsibity for all Frito-Lay brand websites, including: Cheetos.com, Doritos.com, Fritos.com, Fritolay.com, Fritolaylight.com, Lays.com, Tostitos.com. Provided implementation support and consultation for Pepsi and Arby's projects. - Developed all back-end processes and queries using PHP and Oracle to provide desired site functionality in a mixed HTML/Flash environment.Primary technical consultant for project teams during concepting phase of new projects. - Initiated and developed a comprehensive Flash Remoting framework using AMFPHP to shorten build times and improve reliability with our increasing use of dynamic Flash applications. - Designed and implemented a COPPA/CARU compliant anonymous user account system to allow children under age 13 to participate online. - Led research and development on a way to integrate Flash and web content into the Google Earth 3D map application for the Lay's Superman game and promotion.

- Perform business and technical analysis for the design and architecture phase of a new interactive online gaming business. Develop use cases and requirements, create and maintain process flow diagrams in Microsoft Visio. - Maintain a big-picture view of the project and raise questions about things that might have been overlooked by the client or project team. - Reconcile requirements documentation with wireframes to keep information in sync between parties working remotely. Identify conflicting goals or requirements and work with client and project team to resolve them. - Plan and coordinate remote procedure calls for interfacing with 3rd party ERP vendor.

- Lead developer on a system-wide code rewrite and migration to a Unix-based PHP/MySQL server environment. The result enabled the company to serve more customers concurrently, and improved the overall speed and responsiveness of the site. - Spearheaded a move toward Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques. This led to a reduction in code redundancy and facilitated more efficient handling of new feature requests and bug reports. - Initiated the use of CSS for major design elements on the site which resulted in a drastic decrease in turnaround time for adding new client companies. - Developed additional core functionality which allowed the business to secure several lucrative contracts and expand into new markets including travel, investing and insurance. - Implemented administrative tools allowing sales/marketing staff to dynamically manage pricing, content and behavior of the site without using limited development resources.

- Defined the roles and responsibilities of the newly created position. Selected and deployed the server environment and established coding conventions. - Advertised for, interviewed and hired student graphic designers who were employed to create and maintain the graphic identity of the site. - Conducted usability studies by observing prospective high school students as they visited other college web sites. - Provided functional and usability feedback to the designers to facilitate the creation of efficient workable designs. - Converted completed design mock-ups into dynamic web content hosted under PHP/MySQL in a Unix environment. - Established a dynamic text-only version of the site to support the accessibility needs of those with vision impairments. - Participated in industry mailing lists and attended New York State Higher-Education Web Consortium conferences both to learn and to educate.
