Michael M. Resch is a Director at HLRS - High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart. He possess expertise in high performance computing, public/private partnerships, purchasing, numerical analysis, simulations and 45 more skills. He is proficient in French, Italian, Latin and English. Colleagues describe him as "I have the pleasure of knowing Michael for almost 20 years. We have collaborated in several German and EU funded projects, and were (and still are) working together in government and industry committees, advisory boards, and on research and industry panels. For me Michael is a rock star in our HPC community, and his many Honors and Awards are speaking for themselves. He is a true leader, problem solver, and visionary, at national and international scale. His ability to devise effective strategies and implement unique solutions is exemplary. One great example: as the director of a German supercomputing center he managed to overcome major challenges when reshaping a formal and successful cooperation with local industries (the HWW in Baden-Wuerttemberg)​,​ a unique achievement (almost a miracle) within a highly complex, bureaucratic, and political national / European ecosystem. It was always extremely pleasant for me to work with Michael, and I am looking forward to many more opportunities to work together in the near future. "
