The registry of artworks is an essential process for the proper functioning of the activities at the different areas of the gallery. This is the constant compilation of textual and visual information and its systematic arrangement. The main purpose of my area is to achieve efficient results in order to always have an answer to the questions: what do we have? where do we have it? and how do we have it? Therefore, the constant communication with our artists and the teamwork within the gallery are essential.I have among my duties the data entry and continuous updating of the artwork inventory (ArtBase); the creation of condition reports and installation manuals; document elaboration, customs processes and shipping logistics around exhibition loans to museums and galleries, consignments, international art fairs and collectors purchases.

I worked supporting the Registry and Artwork Control Area of the museum in the logistics for the exhibitions “Cimientos. 65 años del INBA: legados, donaciones y adquisiciones” and “Rafael Coronel, Retrofutura.” These logistics entailed meeting with collectors; the making of condition reports; supervising entry, departure and delivery of the artworks to public and private international collections.

General Direction of the Museum and supervision of all its areas, taking active part in each one. Management of national/international, permanent/temporary exhibitions in its legal, museological and logistic aspects. Decision making on everything related to the proper operation of the museum; among others, in expositive, editorial and inter-institutional levels. Supervision of the museum staff.During my term as Director, MUBAGUA was modernized with a renewed museum image, attended the diffusion and projection of the institution with printed and electronic media, entered a new phase which contributed to a better understanding of the collection by the public, strengthening its national position and international recognition. I managed, with limited resources, to take the museum’s practices to the foremost of the museum field.

I worked providing full artwork information for the database of the Subdirección de Catalogación de la Dirección General de Sitios y Monumentos de Patrimonio Cultural, CONACULTA. Photographic shots of movable property, the creation of condition reports, captions entries, iconographic descriptions and academic commentaries of 1200 pieces.

Control, research and documentation of the Museum of the Basilica of Guadalupe’s collections; elaboration of Information sheets for exhibition areas; publication of catalogs and articles; edition of books; courier activities and elaboration of condition reports of artworks on loans to national and international exhibitions; collaborative research projects with various institutions; participation in educational services and organization of cultural and academic activities; guided visits (general and special public) of temporary exhibitions and of the permanent collections of the Museum; support for external researchers.Exhibition Curator of:-Madre de la Patria.
