SUMMARY: As an Architectural Product Specialist my primary function is to help develop and specify architectural products and systems for the architectural community. This includes Ohio Grating’s, Inc. Architectural Metal Solutions current louver and sunscreen products. Furthermore I serve as a support role to our inside and outside sales departments for developing new business, and am responsible for the follow up and market pricing on projects until awarded or a disposition has been determined.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:• Pro-active focus to help close architectural projects working with our inside and outside sales team.• Helping to develop the sales process and strategy and maintain the system for the architectural projects.• Managing the internal follow up on all architectural projects.• Technical support specialist to answer questions and to help specify and value engineer appropriate products for the market.• Develop conceptual design ideas for architectural systems and work through the approval process.• Performing accurate and efficient estimating and pricing to provide customers with formal proposals.• Engineering calculations to ensure products offered meet minimal job requirements.• Project coordination with appropriate account managers and outside sales reps for quoting and project follow up.• Provide accurate market feedback on competition regarding price or product developments.• Technical and architectural drawings support role for our internal architectural detailing department.• Architectural project manager support role for our internal project management group.

SUMMARY: As an Architectural Project Detailer my primary function is to create detailed drawings using AutoCAD from contract and/or general design drawings based on preliminary concepts, engineering calculations, specification sheets of structures according to design specifications, quantity of required materials as well as create bills of material. Maintaining communications with Project Managers of active projects, assisting with tracking them through completion ensuring overall profitability of projects. In addition offering value engineered options to increase profitability of projects.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:• Utilize knowledge of various manufacturing processes, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to ensure company drawings adhere to project specific requirements.• Determine dimensions, material to be used, and other information necessary to make detailed drawing clear and complete.• Develop bills of material, material take offs, tolerance and dimensioning of products, welding and manufacturing symbols, and other requirements to produce product shop drawings.• Develop and maintain determined schedule per the purchase order amount and project requirements• Recommend changes to product which would improve cost, delivery, and quality for the customer.
