I have been able to successfully manage a new system of academic representation, as well as move to create more positive relationships with key stakeholders both in the University and the wider student body. Re-elected to a second term to represent 14000-16000 students on education issues trying to get our student body the best out of their university and education. The 2016-17 term in office has seen a key development in the delivery of positive change for the Association. I've worked to create a series of Byelaws to complement the main functions of the association along with coordinating the review policy of the Student Council. I've written around 20 Byelaws ranging from membership rules through to disciplinary and complaints procedures. All of this was not possible without the fantastic team within the Association.Within my role, specifically, I've coordinated themed weeks dedicated to gathering feedback. I've analysed data collected from multi-faceted surveys to deliver concise reports on what is affecting different stakeholders with proposals on how we can improve services and information points. I've written policy within AUSA and the University designed to recognise our students' work within & out with their studies. We've successfully completed pilot programmes and have now created a method of expanding this with the University's approval and commitment to supporting this process. I've organised our elections for two years working to increase engagement year on year successfully. I've developed key skills in managing, delivering and organising as well as other key skills.From April 2017, my role expanded for a fix term to take on the responsibilities of the Student President, becoming the lead liaison between the Students' Association and the University.I am involved in developing and delivering budgets, negotiating finances and able to work with the Executive Committee and Trustee Board to make key decisions affecting the charity and it's members.By assuming extra responsibilities, I coordinate the Sabbatical Team. I am also playing an incremental role, with the other Officers, in delivering a clear and concise handover for the incoming team in July.

I was elected by the Student Body in 2015 to the role of Education & Employability within the Students' Association at the University of Aberdeen - AUSA. My role focusses mainly upon represented between 13000-16000 students to the university through the management of c.650 academic representatives and 13 elected school conveners. As a student officer, I am also a charity trustee of the organisation.My role has many responsibilities with regards to representing the students of the university to the university on all things education and academic; this is inclusive of participation in local, regional and national events/campaigns and/or events that are for the betterment of the overall student experience.I am in charge of implementing and management of the Academic Representative structure, liaising with the university to create a successful bunch of c.650 reps capable of improving the feedback loop - enhancing the quality of their education through effective representational structures. I am responsible for ensuring that students are also recognised in their engagement and also form part of the review panels to ensure quality and improvement.I sit on almost 30 committees within the university; liaise with all key academic departments; chair and convene committees and participate in key university committees. I am also the key representative within the Association for spearheading the employability and skills development for students.I am currently the Student representative on the QAA Scotland Committee which is a crucial role in representing the student view upon quality assurance and enhancement processes within Scotland. I sit on the University Advisory Group with SPARQS.
