I work on developing fundamental understanding of electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies, using a mixture of experiments and computational modeling to identify ways to improve the performance of devices such as flow batteries and fuel cells.I enjoy teaching as well and have taught subjects including introductory chemistry, science and cooking, engineering thermodynamics, and pedagogy for scientists and engineers. I have also advised undergraduate and high-school researchers on multiple battery research projects.

Senior Electrochemical Modelling EngineerElectric Hydrogen Aug 2023 - PresentFounded by experienced renewable energy technologists and backed by committed mission-driven investors, Electric Hydrogen is building solutions to help cost-effectively decarbonize the massive industrial sectors that we all rely on. At Electric Hydrogen we’re thinking big and with urgency to decarbonize the physical world. -
Research ScientistSintef Mar 2021 - Aug 2023Trondheim, Trøndelag, NorwayAs a member of the Batteries and Hydrogen Technologies group, I develop physics-based models of hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers across several internal, Norwegian, and EU-funded research projects. I use these models to establish how heat, mass, and charge transfer inside a particular fuel cell or electrolyzer influences its performance and degradation over time. I lead modelling work packages in two nationally funded research projects in electrolysis technology.
