Matt Richardson Email and Phone Number
A passionate, hard-working football recruiter with professional experience in talent identification, management and coaching. As Player Insights Lead (YDP), I was responsible for talent identification, development and management across the England U15 to U17 international age-groups. Working for the FAW and formerly at both the FA and a Premier League EPPP Category 1 Academy, I have a sound knowledge of all of the relevant rules and regulations governing the beautiful game and a burgeoning professional track-record for discovering and nurturing talent. Through the creation & development of a variety of player recruitment projects, programmes & assessment processes, I contributed to the signing of over 65 WBA Academy players between 2013-18. This helped to cement the WBA Talent ID Football Education Programme’s reputation as (to our knowledge) the most effective football development programme in the UK. I endeavour to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to my work wherever possible, specialising in creative talent ID projects (including ‘Beat the Baggies’ and the WBA Late Developers' Project). I am an enthusiastic public speaker, both on and off the grass.Always keen to connect with like-minded (or otherwise) individuals from the sports industry and beyond. Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss or share ideas about talent identification, development and/or the assessment of potential.@MRichardsonTID
