In 2006 starts working with Elsag-Datamat, then continuing in the same area, after a merger, with Aubay Italia SpA.In this period he works in the "PUMA/Segnalazioni" group, that develops solutions for banking regulatory compliance and risk management. Contributes to the development of a lineup of applications that interface banking systems with the Italian National Bank (Banca d'Italia). His duties and work encompass a wide range of technologies, from .Net/J2EE applications (both backend and web-based frontends) to COBOL-based legacy solutions, with specific focus on system integration, DB administration and application architecture and design. Currently developing Gix-IDE, an open source multiplatform development environment for COBOL (GnuCOBOL). The application is Qt-based (C++) and includes GixSQL, an ESQL precompiler (with drivers for ODBC, MySQL and PostgreSQL), an interactive native debugger and a web service generator. GixSQL is also available separately and, as Gix-IDE, can be used on Windows or Linux.

Lunaria is a voluntary service organization, founded in 1992 and operating in areas like youth exchanges, voluntary service, environment protection, etc.)He manages the whole IT infrastructure of the organization, including on-premise and outsourced servers, VM environments, several VLANs, a VPN, workstations, etc.In these years he has designed and developed this infrastructure, implementing services like centralized file storage with automated backups, AD authentication (Samba-based), virtual terminals. He also developed policies and guidelines aimed at issues like security, privacy and compliance (centralized authentication, software license compliance and management, etc.)Designed, developed and maintains ePlacement, an application to manage the hundreds of volunteers and the projects of the organization. The application has been constantly in use since 2008, with several major releases. The first release was PHP-based, using the Prado framework, while the most recent ones (2010 onward) are based on .Net /ASP.Net MVC) and run on Linux with the Mono framework. The application, includes features like automating document acquisition, workflow, document management, an interface with payment gateways and a PDF-based customizable reporting engine, which were all developed on purpose. ePlacement also includes a PHP WordPress plugin to be used as a frontend for public-facing applications.For the eponymous Erasmus+-funded project, in 2015 he developed "I've", a skill evaluation framework, comprising a web application and two mobile applications (iOS and Android platforms). Both mobile apps were developed with Xamarin (Microsoft) technology.

Worked on DocsPA, a record-keeping application compliant with protocols and procedures established by Italian regulations and laws ("protocollo informatico"). Among other features, he developed the installer application that was used in the 5,000 stations of Carabinieri (one of the Italian police forces) to deploy the application and implemented the PEC ("Certified e-mail") framework for DocsPA. The application is developed for the Windows platform (C#), using Oracle and SQL Server. He also was part of the test team that conducted on-field test deployments and certifications in a dozen locations in central Italy.

He was a member of the group (formed by Finsiel, then part of Telecom Italia) that managed the IT infrastructure of the Italian Ministry of Health, in the central office and in other branches of Rome. The infrastructure itself, primarily Windows-based, comprised more than 60 servers (Windows 2000 and NT), Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server and Host Integration Server instances, besides a handful of Solaris installations.During this period, beside the ordinary maintenance (backups, replacements, updates, etc.), the group handled the migration of the infrastructure from the DNA architecture to a more modern AD-based one.

Protocomm Consulting was an ISP and a software house based in RomeHe managed the company servers, including those providing Internet access for the clients.In 2000 he developed a map engine (C on Linux) to draw dynamic maps based on TeleAtlas data, including resource positioning and search, POIs, etc.)In 2001-2002 he developed a management app for newspaper kiosks, including features like barcode reader interface, reporting, production of invoices and worksheets.He developed several web sites (both in ASP and PHP) for the clients of Protocomm Consulting.

Hardware and software service engineer for the Apple Macintosh platform in the authorized service center "M&C", also managed the spare parts inventory and handled contacts with clients and customers.

He was the manager at Service Civil International - Italy for coordinating the sending of international volunteers in relief and support projects organized by SCI Italy during the war in former Yugoslavia. In this capacity he was a member of the coordinating committee of ICS (a national network of voluntary service organizations dedicated to relief and support projects in that territory) and participated in a dozen on-field missions.
